Dr. Veena Choodamani is a well-known Consultant in Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Laparoscopic Surgeon based currently in Trivandrum. She practices extensively at SK Hospital (Edappazhanji, Trivandrum). She was formerly also associated with KIMS, Trivandrum.
After completing her MBBS in the year 1995 from Karnataka Medical College (Hubli), she pursued her MD from the reputed Bangalore Medical College and also achieved her DNB in the same year.
Dr. Veena has 20+ years of experience in the field of Laparoscopy, High-Risk Obstetrics, Infertility, Hysteroscopy and so on. Over the years, she has been affiliated with many of the leading medical institutions in Kerala. Dr. Veena has worked with Laxmi Hospital (Kochi) and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS, Kochi) as an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology; in Moulana Hospital (Perintalmanna) as well as MES Medical College (Perinthalmanna).
At AIMS, Dr. Veena has been credited for setting up the Gynaecology Department at the Medical College. She has carved a niche for herself in laparoscopic procedures and has a successful track record in handling high-risk pregnancies.
In Perithalmana, she worked as an Independent Consultant, managing over 50 deliveries a month, performing more than 1500 laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
